Dr. Wayne Harnish is the Director Emeritus at LANDIS and
has experience in conducting and preparing inspections and audit reports
throughout the various stages of a study (protocols, field trials, and final
reports). He has experience in
auditing raw agricultural commodity, processed commodity, field dissipation,
nature of the residue, method validation, storage stability, uptake and decline,
and efficacy studies.
Dr. Harnish has 25 years of
experience performing and managing field and greenhouse research programs for
agricultural chemicals. He also has
experience in designing and conducting screen and evaluation programs to
discover new plant and weed control products.
Dr. Harnish has successfully managed and conducted studies in compliance
with GLP regulations to provide data for registration of pest control products
including non-target plant hazard evaluation, non-target insect evaluation, and
insect bioassay tests.
Dr. Harnish’s laboratory and field research resulted in nine U.S.
patents for new pest control agents. He
also served as Group Leader for the development of a new generation insecticide
for a major agricultural chemical company.
Dr. Harnish earned his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology and his M.S. in
Microbiology at West Virginia University. He
received his B.S. in Biology/Chemistry at West Liberty State College.
He is an affiliate member of the Society of Quality Assurance.
